The adults would lounge about on the bed, imbuing us with not only the significance of family viewing content but also a perception of what we understood as “our cinematic language.”
In 2023, a significant portion of the big-budgeted films screened in Dhaka primarily comprised of those released during Eid. During that period, numerous individuals within the cinema industry remarked that movies in Dhaka were predominantly scheduled around Eid. Outside of these festive seasons, production houses seemed hesitant to release big-budget films.
The Saikat Nasir directorial was initially released across 16 halls and tells the story of the illegal practice of money laundering.
Like their previous films, Ananta Jalil will be starring opposite the actress. The film is also a joint production between Bangladesh and Turkey.
Films like “Leader Amie Bangladesh'', "Jinn","Local",”Kill Him” have kept the stream of audiences flowing to the theatres even now. A similar outcome is hoped to be seen for the upcoming films during the next Eid as well.
