Ministry-backed rock album to feature 20 bands celebrating Nazrul
The album is being produced under the supervision of the Kabi Nazrul Institute. According to Latiful Islam Shibli, the institute's executive director and a renowned writer and lyricist, the album will feature performances by 20 leading bands from the country and is expected to be released within the next six months.
Nazrul Institute trustee board restructured with new appointments
In a statement issued by Assistant Secretary Lakshmi Rani Ghosh on October 29, it was announced that the government has reconstituted the eight-member board of trustees under the authority of Section 6 of the Kabi Nazrul Institute Act, 2018, as amended on June 13, 2022.

Music artiste Khilkhil Kazi, the granddaughter of Kazi Nazrul Islam, was appointed as the chairperson. Additionally, a junior secretary from the Ministry of Cultural Affairs and a representative from the Ministry of Education’s Secondary and Higher Secondary Departments have been included as members.
