Democracy needs active role of newspapers: President

President Abdul Hamid calls upon all newspapers to continue their contributions to the development of the country through responsible journalism. Addressing a programme marking the 25th anniversary of The Daily Star, he says all the media must work to fight extremism and terrorism.
