The Bangladesh Dota 2 team has secured a spot in the Open Esports Students Games (OXY) 2024 after emerging victorious in the South Asia qualifiers. The team, consisting of Faisal Arman Anik (Hiraeth), Mohammed Sayakh Altaf (Senpai), Imtiaj Ahmed Rohan (WindTouch), Anjum Ferdous Utsho (copycat), and MD. Rafee Alam (Zet^), outperformed teams from India, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan to qualify for the international event, which will be held in Sochi, Russia, in October.

The team's journey to qualification began on August 22 with a 2-0 defeat against Team Nepal. However, they recovered by drawing 1-1 against Team Pakistan, which set the stage for a significant 2-0 victory over Team India, the tournament's favourites. The team continued their success by defeating both Team Bhutan and Team Sri Lanka, ensuring their place in the main event.
