The 16th edition of the Bangladesh Brand Forum's Best Brand Awards celebrated the achievements of 44 brands across distinct categories at a grand gala event held on 26 December 2024 at the Intercontinental Dhaka.

This year, a total of 60 awards were presented, including recognition for the "Overall Top 15 Brands of Bangladesh" and the "Most Emerging Brand."

Mobile financial service provider, bKash, secured the top position as the best brand. Grameenphone and RFL Houseware followed in second and third places, respectively.

Other notable brands in the top 15 included Radhuni Masala, Closeup, ACI Pure Salt, Shwapno, Sunsilk, Ispahani Mirzapore, Walton, Maggi 2 Minute Noodles, Pran Frooto, Parachute Advansed, Fresh Atta Maida Suji, and Rupchanda Fortified Soybean Oil.

Home appliance company, Gree, was recognised as the "Most Emerging Brand of Bangladesh" for its sustained rise in brand equity index for three consecutive years.

In the e-commerce category, Daraz Bangladesh was acknowledged as the most loved brand for the fourth consecutive year.

The awards, initiated by the Bangladesh Brand Forum in partnership with nSearch Ltd. and in association with The Daily Star, aim to honour brands that demonstrate business success and meaningful contributions to consumers' lives.

How the awards were decided

The methodology for determining winners was based on a survey conducted by nSearch, involving interviews from 11,200 respondents from both urban and rural areas across Bangladesh's eight divisions. The data collection method was based on online and self-administered interviews. The study covered 44 categories on category-relevant parameters utilising brand equity indices and cross-category harmonisation to identify the top-performing brands, according to a press release.

Shariful Islam, Founder and Managing Director of Bangladesh Brand Forum, highlighted the evolving role of brands in society during the ceremony. "Brands are no longer just about the products we consume—they shape how we live, connect, and envision the future. As a brand evolves, so do its responsibilities toward the nation and society, becoming powerful drivers of positive change," he said.

The 'Best Brand Awards' was initiated by Bangladesh Brand Forum in 2008. The event celebrates brands across Bangladesh for their achievement, impact, and popularity. The event was supported by strategic, knowledge, and technology partners, including the International Advertising Association Bangladesh (IAAB), Marketing Society of Bangladesh (MSB), and aamra Networks Limited.
