EV charging platform Ampeco secures $26 mln in Series B
Ampeco, an electric vehicle (EV) charging software solution provider, has recently raised $26 million in a Series B funding round led by Revaia, an investment company.
According to a recent blog by Ampeco, the latest investment brings the company's total funding to $42 million, following a $13 million Series A round in 2023 with existing investors like Cavalry Ventures, BMW i Ventures, and LAUNCHub Ventures. The Series B funding will help Ampeco to expand in key markets spanning Western Europe, Scandinavia, the UK, North America, and Southeast Asia.
Ampeco's Chief Marketing Officer Baycho Georgiev said in a recent blog that the company now serves 160 clients in 60 markets, managing over 120,000 charging stations across 60 markets. Clients of Ampeco include E.ON Drive Infrastructure, ChargeGuru, Zeplug, and EV Edge. Founded in 2019, Ampeco is originally based in Sofia, Bulgaria.
According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), by 2030, EVs could make up 35% of new vehicle sales globally, necessitating around 40 million public charging points—a development that could require a $500 billion investment.
