Meet Baagh, a new local electric vehicle maker
Meet Baagh Eco Motors, a company that is making electric vehicles in the country to reduce import dependency. The company has already developed several battery-powered vehicles including solar cars, motorcycles, solar vans, solar eco taxis, etc. These vehicles were recently inaugurated and exhibited at Hotel Sonargaon in Dhaka.
Post and Telecommunication Minister Mustafa Jabbar officially inaugurated Baagh Motors on Friday, November 4 at an inauguration event. Afzal Hossain was the special guest. The President of Baagh Eco Motors, Kazi Jasimul Islam Bappi presided over the event. The company's managing director Nahid Naureen Jahan and other officials of the company were present at the time.
The company's own data centre has been used in the cars manufactured, allowing the vehicles to be monitored at all times. The panic button in it will give added safety to the driver and passengers. If the driver or passenger is in danger, they can press this button to seek immediate help.
In order to prevent the wastage and misuse of electricity, these electric vehicles have used the latest technology, according to Baagh. As a result, electricity cannot be used illegally to charge cars. If its driver tries to charge illegally, the information will be sent to Bagh Eco Motors' data server through its IoT (Internet of Things) device. The manufacturer has already taken permission from BRTA for the movement of these bike-car roads.
The manufacturer provides a 5-year replacement warranty on the batteries of battery-powered cars. Each vehicle will have first-party insurance. Bagh Eco Motors has plans to export abroad to meet the needs of Bangladesh. According to Baagh, charging stations will soon be set up across the country to charge these eco-friendly electric vehicles.
