Taptap Send, an international money transfer platform, has introduced a new feature called the Taptap Send Wallet on April 21.

According to a press release, aimed at offering users increased flexibility in managing their cross-border transactions, the update allows users to convert funds at a favourable exchange rate and store them for future transfers.

Available to users with verified accounts in supported regions, the wallet feature is accessible directly from the app's home screen. Once funds are loaded into the wallet, users can initiate transfers at their discretion. If the wallet balance is insufficient for a transaction, users are prompted to top up before proceeding, as per a press release.

Taptap Send has confirmed that the feature is being gradually rolled out across select countries and currencies, with plans to expand availability in the near future. The new wallet function enables users to take advantage of optimal exchange rates without the need to transfer money immediately.

By enabling users to lock in exchange rates and delay sending until necessary, the Taptap Send Wallet seeks to address common concerns about timing and cost in the remittance process. The service also aims to support users in budgeting for larger transactions while avoiding unplanned expenditures, according to the press release.
