50% teachers unclear about creative education: Study
More than half of the primary school teachers are still unclear about creative education method introduced five years ago to bring a qualitative change, according to a survey report.
Only 45 percent teachers understand the method completely, it said
"Thirteen percent teachers do not understand the method fully while 42 percent's understanding level is medium," said the report.
Research for Advancement of Complete Education (RACE), a non-government research organisation, revealed the findings of the report titled "Ambiguity in understanding among teachers and students renders Creative Method ineffective -- a study on primary schools in Bangladesh," at Dhaka's Drik Gallery.
At the same time, 47 percent teachers rely on guidebooks, 35 percent discuss the method with colleagues while 18 percent teach their students with their self-wisdom, it mentioned.
