WhatsApp is not going to work on these smartphones from this year
WhatsApp, the world’s most popular text and voice messaging application, has stopped working on Windows phones from December 31, 2019. This shutdown is also affecting Nokia Lumia devices, the last smartphones to use the Microsoft-made Windows operating system.
Facebook-owned WhatsApp has even announced that it will drop support for some Android smartphones that are running on Android 2.3.7 or older by February 2020. People using these versions will not be able to re-verify their existing accounts or to create any new account further. Furthermore, iPhones running iOS 8 and older versions will also stop supporting this app from February. Users of these iPhones have already lost the access to make new accounts.
WhatsApp has also updated the list of the operating systems that the app supports. This list includes Android devices running OS 4.0.3+, iPhones running iOS 9+ and phones supporting KaiOS 2.5.1+.
