Bangladeshi girl scores 16 goals in a match
Ace Bangladesh National Women Football Team forward Sabina Khatun scored 16 goals in a single match in Maldives Women’s Football Fiesta 2015 yesterday.
Sabina achieved this feat in a match between her team Police Club and MEE, guiding her team to win the match 25-0, reports Bangla daily Prothom Alo.
Having scored 6 goals in the first half of the match, Sabina became unstoppable and scored ten more goals in the second half.
She also scored four goals in the previous match against Ministry of Environment and Energy on March 18 to steer her team for a 7-0 win.
Earlier, Sabina expressed her keen interest to show her best and become the leading scorer in the tournament before she left for Maldives to play for the Police Club.
Sabina became the first ever Bangladeshi women football player to play for a foreign club as she went to play for Police Club, Maldives in the tournament which began on March 14 and will end on April 17, with 14 teams fighting for the title.
