Two Tollywood, (the Kolkata film industry) popular composers — Debajyoti Mishra and Indraadip Das Gupta — are set to make waves and collaborate with projects in Bangladesh. While Indraadip will debut with Amitabh Reza Chowdhury's Aiynabaji, Debajyoti is part of Enamul Karim Nirjhar's next, AB Syndrome, reports The Times of India.

Indraadip, the Tolly hitmaker, is happy with his first project. Talking to the Times of India from Bangladesh, he said, "Amitabh is a renowned ad filmmaker; working in his debut film is an experience in itself. While the soundscape features Arnob, Chirkoot, Habib and Fuyad, I will be designing the score apart from supervising the overall music."

The composer, however, is tightlipped about the subject of the film, which is currently in post-production. For Debajyoti, being part of AB Syndrome is the continuation of a journey he recently embarked on. The film is a musical with 18 songs. "Arshinagar, a musical with Rinadi (Aparna Sen), has been a great learning experience. So when Nirjhar shared his story with me, I was excited," he said. The music of Arshinagar has been topping charts in Bengal and Debajyoti is aiming for a repeat with AB Syndrome. He had earlier scored for Nirjhar's Aha!, which was Bangladesh's submission for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 2007. Debajyoti also scored for the filmmaker's next, Nomuna, a social satire that was refused a censor certificate in Bangladesh.

Though the composer was not keen to divulge the storyline, Nirjhar said it's a film on the battle between creativity and commerce, and the impact it has on the youth. "It's a global issue plaguing the youngsters. I'm yet to lock the cast," the filmmaker told us. Both Nirjhar and Debajyoti are keen on working with Nikita Gandhi, who lent her voice to Majid Majidi's controversial film, Muhammad: The Messenger of God. "She is part of AR Rahman's core music team. We've had a preliminary talk with her. If all goes well, she'll have a major role to play in the film's soundtrack. That apart, Arko and Shobhan Ganguly will sing quite a few songs," said Debajyoti.
