[WATCH NOW] 103-yr-old dresses up as ‘Wonder Woman’ to celebrate birthday
Some people tend to care less of their birthday celebrations as they grow old, but that’s not the case with Mary Cotter, who dressed up as ‘Wonder Woman’ to celebrate her 103rd birthday.
The costume was purchased by Cotter’s friends for her because she’s a “real life Wonder Woman,” Cotter told in an interview with KABC-TV.
Cotter, dressed up as the DC Comics character, celebrated the occasion at the Montclair Senior Centre, where she is a volunteer for past 25 years, reports Mashable.
She hosted the event by serving coffee, tea and water to her friends. “They call me the barmaid because I serve drinks,” Cotter told reporters.
Cotter lives alone and drives herself back and forth to the center five days a week.
When asked about the secret behind her long life, she said “Just keeping busy, I guess”.
Before becoming a ‘superhero’, the 103-year-old ‘wonder woman’ has worked as a swimming instructor and a conservationist saving sea turtles.
