Sourav celebrates birthday with fans (video)
It is usually not an annual event to RSVP for the family. But for his 43rd birthday, fans of Sourav Ganguly took the trouble of buying a cake and bringing it to his south Kolkata residence at Behala, making sure that he celebrated the special day with them.
Although preferring to remain mute in front of the media, Ganguly could not shy away from the media and his fans this time and had to say something for them, reports our Kolkata correspondent.
Born on 8th July 1972 at Biren Shah road on Behala, this illustrious cricketer scored over 29,000 runs accumulatively in both tests and one day internationals, with 38 centuries and 132 wickets to his credit.
Although he retired from the 22 yard pitch some time ago, his presence in the cricketing world remains.
From a prolific commentator to a successful reality show host, his second innings is going strong, not to mention his stint as a member in BCCI’s advisory committee and joint secretary of Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB).
