[Watch] Artist creates wonderful body-art inspired from nature

Johannes Stötter, an Italian artist uses body paint to create wonderful artworks that are inspired from nature.

Born and based in South Tyrol of Italy, Stötter is an artist, musician and a fine art body-painter.

A fully autodidactic artist, Stötter has developed his own painting style and body-painting technique, without any relation to other body-painting artists and their works.

In 2013, Stötter made headlines with his legendary creation consisting of five human bodies immaculately painted to look like a tropical frog, and was featured in newspapers, magazines and online magazines including the New York Magazine among others.

His other artworks include ‘The Wolf’, ‘Angelfish’, and ‘Chameleon’.

He also sings, plays violin, whistle and bouzouki in the Celtic Folk band ‘Burning Mind’.

The artist often spends as long as five months to plan each creation, which takes up to eight hours to be executed and his actors are also great at staying in character, even when it means not moving a muscle, like a true chameleon.

He has won numerous awards for his artworks, including the International Fine Art Body-painting Award 2014.

Stötter studied education and philosophy at the University Of Innsbruck in Austria, and was involved in several social projects which he combined with art and music.

He now teaches body-painting at the World Body-painting Academy, at the World Body-painting Festival (WBF), and anatomic body-painting at Yoni Academy.
