In a terrifying video footage captured on a dashboard camera, the moment when a lightning struck a busy street in China was seen, followed by showers of sparks falling on the road.

The eight-second long video showed a sudden flash of light followed by pitch darkness for a split second and then sparks falling from the trees lining the road with several cars halting at this point, reports NDTV.

The video, captured on May 11 in Shenyang of China’s Liaoning province, was published by China Plus News in Facebook on May 14 and has since then gone viral in the social media with over 29000 views, 2200 reactions and over 1000 shares so far.
