Stuntman dies in India live show
In a shocking accident, a stunt biker died after being run over by a speeding car during a Maut Ka Kuan (Well of Death) show in Jeypore in Koraput district of Odisha, India.
The incident took place on Saturday, May 13, when the stunt biker was performing daredevil stunts along with two cars and two other bikers of his group in a well of death during a Meena Bazar at Gandhichak area of Jeypore.
The matter came into light after a clip of the incident went viral in social media, reports Odisha TV.
The video showed the deceased, Jitu Singh of Ranchi, hit a car with his bike. The car then lost balance and fell on him.
“Jitu was a good friend of mine. The incident occurred soon after we had started the show. My car had slowed down and when I was trying to get off the track, Jitu’s vehicle hit the car from behind. As a result, my car skidded off the wooden planks and fell on him,” said Feroz, driver of the car.
Other team members rushed Jitu to the nearest hospital but doctors declared him dead, he added.
