Penguin books set foot in country's publishing market
Penguin Random House, a global book publishing house, will now be publishing books by Bangladeshi authors in English.
The publishing house has joined hands with Pathak Shamabesh in Bangladesh to encourage local authors to write in English.
The Star Live sat down for a conversation with Alkesh Biswal, deputy general manager (export sales) of Penguin Random House India, recently during the formal launch of the Penguin Book Festival at Pathak Shamabesh in Dhaka’s Shahbagh.
The Penguin Random House will be publishing books which are well accepted by the audience and will be translated in English, Alkesh said.
