3 killed in West Bengal bomb blast
Three people were killed and four were injured in a blast when they were allegedly making bombs at a house in West Bengal's Malda district today.
The incident took place ahead of last phase of polling on May 5 in the state, NDTV reports.
The bombs were being made inside the house of one of the men, Giasu Seikh, at Jaunpur near Bangladesh border around 1:00am (local time), the Indian news portal reports quoting Superintendent of local Police Syed Waqar Raza.
Three people died on the spot and four others were seriously injured, he said, adding that "local rowdies" were involved in the incident. Giasu was absconding.
The injured were admitted to the Malda Medical College and Hospital.
