The stunning rescue operation of 12 young footballers and their coach from a flooded cave in Thailand has been turned into a documentary by the Discovery channel.

The hour-long documentary, titled "Operation Thai Rescue", is scheduled to be aired on Friday, July 20, at 9:00pm Indian time (GMT+5.5) simultaneously on Discovery Channel, Discovery HD World, Discovery Turbo and Discovery Science, reports our New Delhi correspondent.

It is the first documentary to explore and reveal every angle of one of the most difficult rescues attempted in human history.

The documentary has been produced in association with ITN Productions and will feature interviews with medical and mental health experts and also with world's leading cave diving rescue experts.

On June 24, 12 members of a Thai soccer team, aged between 11 and 16, and their 25-year-old coach were lost inside the Tham Luang cave in northern Thailand. They were found after ten days.

An international team of expert cave drivers pulled the children and their coach from the cave conducting a three-day rescue operation which ended on July 10.

The boys and their coach are reported to be in good health.
