27 killed in India bus plunge
At least 27 people were killed and five injured when a passenger bus fell from a bridge into a river in India’s desert state of Rajasthan this morning.
The accident took place in Sawai Madhopur district’s Dubi area after the bus driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, reports our New Delhi correspondent.
The injured have been admitted to a local hospital. Rescue operations are underway.
“A total of 27 people were killed and five injured after bus fell into Banas river in Rajasthan’s Swai Madhopur district,” the Superintendent of Police said.
