2 DU students sent to jail for mugging people posing as cops

A court today sent two BCL leaders of Dhaka University to jail in a case filed for mugging people by posing as policemen.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Sheikh Sadi passed the order after police produced Mohaimenul Islam Emon and Rajib Hossain Robin before the court.

Emon, a student of Bangla department at DU, is the vice president of DU's Surja Sen Hall unit of BCL, and Rajib Hossain Robin, a student of accounting and information systems, holds the same BCL post at Zahurul Huq Hall.

Police detained them yesterday from Suhrawardy Udyan as they tried to mug four people by posing as police officials.
