Cluster admission test for 22 public universities from July 30

Cluster entrance examinations to 22 general and science and technology public universities is scheduled to start from July 30.

The admission test for science students for 2021-22 academic session has been scheduled for July 30, while the test for humanities students on August 13 and business students on August 20, Barishal University Vice Chancellor Prof Sadequl Arefin told The Daily Star this afternoon.

He said that the decision for the cluster entrance exams was taken at a meeting of the university authorities held last night (May 30, 2022).

Authorities took decision of increasing the fee of admission tests to Tk 1,500 this year from the last year's Tk 1200.

"We increased the fees as price of paper and other materials have gone up," Sadequl said.

He also said authorities are considering that universities will hold the entire admission process simultaneously and there will be chance of migration of students.

Last year, 20 general, science and technology public universities, held integrated admission test.

This year two more universities -- Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University, Kishoreganj, and Chandpur Science and Technology University – joined the lot.

The 20 universities are Jagannath University, Islamic University, Khulna University, Cumilla University, Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University, Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur, University of Barisal, Rabindra University, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University, Sheikh Hasina University, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University, Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University, Noakhali Science and Technology University, Jashore University of Science and Technology, Pabna University of Science and Technology, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University, Rangamati Science and Technology University, Bangamata Sheikh Fojilatunnesa Mujib Science and Technology University, and  Patuakhali Science and Technology University.
