JU halls to reopen, vaccination on campus to kick off tomorrow
Authorities of Jahangirnagar University (JU) will reopen residential halls and launch Covid-19 vaccination drive on campus for teachers, students and staff tomorrow.
The vaccination programme will begin at the university's Wazed Mia Research Centre from tomorrow morning, reports our JU correspondent quoting its Acting Registrar Rahima Kaniz.
She said, "Students, who didn't get vaccine even after getting SMS, will be given priority during the inoculation drive."
Prof AA Mamun, director of the research centre and president of Teachers' Association, said, "We have set up six booths in the centre… Officials from Dhaka Civil Surgeon's office have already visited those."
Every day, vaccination will begin at 10am and will continue till 1:30pm, said Prof AA Mamun who will be working as coordinator of the vaccination campaign.
Those who don't have birth certificate, NID card or passport, will not be able to get the vaccine, he said.
Academic activities will be resumed from October 21.
