‘Mullobodh Er Paathshala’ discusses the dynamics of faith

In an effort to advocate positivity and social change, Shuvashish Bhowmick, founder of father-son singing duo Baap Ka Beta, started the campaign, "Mullobodh Er Paathshala". This campaign hosts live sessions with celebrities, influencers, and experts on the importance of morals and values. The fourth episode, titled "Can we value people's faith properly?" was held yesterday, featuring Golam Murshed, Managing Director & CEO of Walton Hi-Tech Industries Ltd. and Ghulam Sumdany Don, Chief Inspirational Officer of Don Sumdany Facilitation & Consultancy.

The panel explored the significance of faith and trust, and how these shape the dynamics of our lives.

Golam Murshed turned the spotlight on how morals, values, and faith have no rule of thumb. They cannot be taught as theories and their definitions are constantly changing over time, across generations. He positively associated faith with time and drew the example of Walton.

 "Twelve years ago, Bangladesh was an import-centric country and now, we are not only manufacturing but exporting as well. Naturally people are resistant to change, hence, when Walton came with its new offerings people were unhinged. In order to build trust, we strengthened our service centers. Walton couldn't have come this far without its customers' trust but it was built over time," he said.

Ghulam Sumdany Don defined faith as something that is reciprocal. For him, faith has nothing to do with types of relationships, but rather, one's mindset and level of maturity. Different from his usual discussions, he spoke from a father's viewpoint during this session.  "Being a father changed everything for me and my daughter is my first priority," he said.

 "For the sake of your children, you should be the best version of yourself." His three life advices were to never give up since everything takes time, hang out with the right people because they unconsciously bring about changes in us and finally, be humble. He concluded saying how constant self-development and keeping oneself relevant are key, "You are not a tree that you will remain static!", he added.

The panelists openly discussed life, family, friends and business, and along the way, shared some laughter as well.

The Pencil Foundation is affiliated with this initiative as an outreach partner. The foundation works to develop a platform for young authors, poets, singers, photographers, reciters, and artists. People with this foundation are highly optimistic that this initiative will bring fruitful outcomes and bring significant impacts on society's perception.
