Desert safaris can be very hectic but definitely worth it if you are someone who is up for adventures. Here are 5 deserts you should definitely keep in mind when planning your next vacation.

The Sahara Desert is probably the first one that comes to mind when we think of deserts. Keeping in mind that it is the hottest desert in the world, you might want to visit The Sahara Desert in spring or autumn when the weather is a little breathable. The desert safari consists of a drive over sand dunes and while it may feel like the car might crash any moment, that is also the fun of it. The scorching heat may be a little unappealing but just the grandness of the place will leave you awe-struck.
The Gobi Desert
The Mongolian Gobi Desert is the largest in Asia and can be a part of your next trip to China. The Gobi Desert is a little different from others as it is less sandy and more covered in rocks. The Mars-like red soil and the camels will take your breath away. The Thar Desert
If you do not want to travel too far but still experience a desert holiday, Thar Desert is just the place for you. The great Indian Desert is hot and humid but do not let that stop you from visiting. Beautiful natural rock formations cover the place and you will even find statues of sphinx, people, and other random things here abandoned from years ago, making it feel like a trip to a museum as well. While it cannot be a day trip Cairo, it should definitely be on your Egypt itinerary.
The Namib Desert
Believed to be the oldest desert in the world, the rather small but grand desert has a lot to offer. Being a coastal desert, the experience you will have here is not the same as other deserts. The skeleton coast, formed from multiple shipwrecks caused by the fog is a sight to be seen. There is also an immense wildlife that can be seen in this desert, including elephants. You can even spot some fur seals if you are lucky. The red dunes of the desert should not go unmentioned as well since it can even be up to 350m high.
