Star Melodies to present 'Prakriti – Upomaye Gaantha Bangla Gaan' today

Star Melodies, an initiative of The Daily Star to promote Bangla music, will host a special musical programme, titled,

Prakriti – Upomaye Gaantha Bangla Gaan (Nature as Literary Metaphors Used in Bangla Songs).

Noted singers Khurshid Alam, Badrunnesa Dalia, Mamun Zahid and Julie Sharmilee will present songs at the programme. In addition, students of BAF Shaheen College, Dhaka, will also perform.

The event will be held at The Daily Star Bengal Arts Precinct of The Daily Star Centre today at 6 pm.

Sadya Afreen Mallick, Chief, Culture Initiatives, The Daily Star, will host the programme.

Invitation passes can be collected from The Daily Star Centre. Seats are limited and available on a first-come first-serve basis.
