Deepika auditions for “The Mummy”

After taking Bollywood by storm with her impeccable acting chops and envious looks, B-Town bombshell Deepika Padukone is all set to work her magic in Hollywood as well. While the actress is busy shooting for her Hollywood debut “xXx: The Return of Xander Cage” opposite Vin Diesel in Canada, there are reports suggesting she has been auditioning for few other roles.

According to a report on Spotboye.com, the actress has auditioned for a pivotal role in the popular “The Mummy” franchise opposite Hollywood heartthrob, Tom Cruise.

The report states that Deepika had auditioned sometime last month and is still waiting for revert from the casting directors. However, the casting directors were looking for other prospects for the role, added the report.

A few days ago, there was also buzz that Huma Qureshi had also auditioned for the said role.
