Ranbir's next film will have 25 songs?
Ranbir Kapoor and film-maker Anurag Basu's maiden production, also starring Katrina Kaif, has been delayed multiple times over the past couple of years. Even as talks are rife about the film getting re-shot and its release date moving to next year, Hindustan Times reports that one of the reasons the film is getting delayed is because of its 'challenging' music compositions.
Rumours suggest that since the musical is supposed to have 25 songs, Pritam has been working hard on the soundtrack -- but Ranbir and Anurag are not happy with the songs that the composer has created. “The problem is that since music is an intrinsic part of the film's screenplay, the movie can't be shot unless all the tracks are ready,” said an insider.
Apparently, the film has been challenging for Pritam because of the number of songs, and the nature of the lyrics. “The lines on which Pritam is composing the music aren't usual poems. Instead, they are part of the dialogues delivered by Ranbir's characters. So, it has been a challenge for him. But now, he is composing a few songs all over again,” the source added.
