Asian Cinema Retrospective set to begin

Moviyana Film Society and Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy has organised Asian Cinema Retrospective 2016, set to screen 65 films from 19 countries over a 17- week period beginning this week. The Retrospective will feature discussions on Asian films and noted Asian film makers, says a press release.

Asian Cinema Retrospective will begin on July 16 at 3pm at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy's (BSA) International Digital Cultural Archive Room of National Theatre Hall, with Syed Salauddin Zaki's “Ghuddi”. 

The sessions will take place on Saturday and Sunday from 3-8pm. Every week during the event, three films will be featured, alongside discussions. The event will promote films from Bangladesh, India, Japan, South Korea, China, Iran, Pakistan, Thailand, Iraq, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia and many more. 

The event is open for all, but registration is necessary -- which can be done at room number 701 of BSA.
