Anwar Hossain remembered by FFSB

In honour of the recently demised freedom fighter, cinematographer and veteran photographer Anwar Hossain, the Federation of Film Societies of Bangladesh (FFSB), in collaboration with Bangladesh Short Film Forum, and Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy organised a memorial event at National Music and Dance Auditorium of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on December 5. 

The programme began with a lamp-lighting ceremony and a minute of silence in respect for the departed soul. Anwar Hossain's sons, Akash Hossain and Meghdut Hossain, fellow freedom fighters, colleagues, prominent photographers, film-makers, cinematographers and leaders of film societies in Bangladesh were present at the event.

The event was chaired by the Director General of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Liaquat Ali Lucky and moderated by FFSB General Secretary Belayet Hossain Mamun. The invited speakers recalled their associations with Anwar Hossain and discussed his life and work.
