A night of musical SPLENDOUR

One of the icons of Bangladesh's playback industry, Subir Nandi was awarded the Channel i Music Awards 2018 Lifetime Achievement Award on Friday, September 21. The marquee event celebrating the best in Bangladeshi music took place in Habiganj, the singer's birthplace. “I am elated to be honoured here in my hometown,” said Subir Nandi after receiving the award, “this award belongs to everyone here in Habiganj.” Channel i's managing director, Faridur Reza Sagar, Director and Head of News, Shykh Seraj, Managing Director and CEO of Transcom Beverages Ltd, Khurshid Irfan Chowdhury, Chairman of Impress Group, Rashid Majumder along with music exponents Azad Rahman and Khurshid Alam presented the fabled singer with the award. The grand event, which was hosted by Farzana Brownia, saw performances by renowned artistes including Kiron Chandra Roy, Shimul Yousuf, Fahmida Nabi, Kona, Alif Alauddin, Elita, Mehreen and Konal. Channel i Music Awards 2018 was powered by 7up.
