Satyajit Ray Film Festival at EMK Center

To celebrate the birth and death anniversary of internationally acclaimed legendary Bengali filmmaker Satyajit Ray, International Academy of Film and Media and EMK Center will jointly organise “Satyajit Ray Fest 2015”, says a press release. The festival will screen 4 films by Satyajit Ray at EMK Center, Dhanmondi, Dhaka.

Noted Photographer Sayeeda Khanam will inaugurate the festival at 4:30pm on April 26 while Bibesh Roy, ED, International Academy of Film and Media, will deliver the welcome speech at the ceremony. M.K. Aaref,

The festival will run till April 30 with the screening of one film every day starting at 6pm. “Pather Panchali” will be screened on the opening day. “Ashani Sanket” will be screened on April 27 while screening of “Apur Panchali” and “Uttoran” will take place on April 29 and 30 respectively.
