What to watch on television THIS EID
Over the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, there are plenty of special shows to choose from for lovers of television, with a whole host of well-known artistes taking to the small-screen. The Daily Star brings you a list of the finest television shows that will be aired on the top TV channels of the country throughout the festive season.
ETV
Amar Bou Nayika
Starring Zahid Hasan, Monalisa, Mithila, Tareq Shopon and many others, Amar Bou Nayika is a seven-episode TV serial directed by Shakhawat Manik. Catch it from the day of Eid-ul-Fitr on ETV at 10.30pm.
Online a Raisa Bhabi
Online a Raisa Bhabi is an Eid special telefilm that centres on urban life and an online competition between women. Starring Nusrat Imroz Tisha and Nayim alongside many others, it is directed by Topu Khan. It will be aired on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr on ETV at 8pm.
Surprise
The viewers will see popular actor Mosharaff Karim in an intriguing role in the Eid special TV serial Surprise. This serial has been shot in Malaysia. It is directed by Shajin Ahmed Babu. Don't miss it on ETV; it begins from the day of Eid-ul-Fitr at 7.20pm

Shesh Porjonto
Telefilm Shesh Porjonto will be aired at 2:20 pm on the second day of Eid. Written and directed by Shihab Shahin the drama casts Zakia Bari Mamo, Ziaul Faruq Apurba and many more.
Rongo Byango
Comedy show Rongo Byango will be aired at 9:05pm on the third day of Eid. The show will be hosted by actor Abdul Kader and Hasan Masud. Comedians from season 4 and 5 of comedy show Hasho will perform in this programme. Actor Shokh will perform a dance number.

Eid 'Ityadi' begins with a musical dance number by four celebrities
Eid special episode of popular magazine programme Ityadi will be aired on the second day of Eid-ul-fitr on BTV and BTV World. The magazine programme has been running for more than three decades. A special musical parody dance number will be performed by actor Ferdous, Mamo, Apurba and Monalisa. The dance number deals with some serious messages such as the repression of women, protecting the dignity of them and as well as the bad influences of foreign TV serials on our culture.

Nosu Villain-er Shongshar
Starting from the first day of Eid until the tenth, ATN Bangala will air Nosu Villain-er Shongshar, a comedy sequel mini TV series, daily at 9:30pm. Written by Brindaban Das and directed by Sagar Jahan, the story of the series revolves around funny family disputes among three idle siblings Nausher Ali, Samsher Ali and Jamshed Ali and their wives. Nausher Ali is popularly known as Nosu Villain in his village, as he dons the role of a villain in a Jatra troupe. Complexity arises in Nosu's family affairs when he throws a villainy dialogue to his wife. The cast includes Al Mansur, Chanchal Chowdhury, AKM Hasan, Arfan Ahmed, Shahnaz Khushi, Nadia Nodi, among others.
Nurul Alam-er Biye
Tele-fiction Nurul Alam-er Biye, written and directed by Badrul Anam Soud and Arif Khan, will go on air on the second day of Eid at 8:30pm. The viewers will see the popular actors -- Subarna Mustafa and Afzal Hossain -- in it after a long time. The duo has donned interesting roles as a bridegroom and a match maker in the tele-fiction where funny events follow a twist.

Rouddure Peyechhi Tomar Naam
Telefilm Rouddure Peyechhi Tomar Naam will be aired at 2:30pm on the second day of Eid. Written and directed by Rajibul Islam Rajib, the cast of the telefilm includes Purnima, Emon, Pran Roy, Raisul Islam Asad and Saberi Alam.
The story revolves around fashion designer Mumu, who loves Asif, a doctor by profession. They are set to get engaged. Meanwhile Asif is to suddenly go to a remote place of Rangamati for attending a medical camp. As Asif's birthday is just three days away, Mumu also rides on a Rangamati bound bus with a precious ring to get her beloved surprised. At the dead of night, a band of robbers suddenly attack the bus and unexpected events happen rapidly.
Na Jene Narayanganj from Chhoto Kaku series
Chhoto Kaku is a famous detective series written by Faridur Reza Sagar and directed by Afzal Hossain. Every Eid, the series comes with a mystery and adventure. Titled Na Jene Narayanganj, the eight-episode TV series will be aired every day at 6:10pm from one day before of Eid till the seventh day. The mini-series will star Afzal Hossain, Orsha, Shimanto, Tanvir Hossain Probal and others. The series will unfold Chhoto Kaku unlocking various mysteries with his team.

Bottle Bhoot
Based on the story Bottle Bhoot written by Humayun Ahmed and directed by Meher Afroz Shawon, the tele-fiction will be shown from Eid day 1 to day 5 at 1:30pm and repeat at 8:00pm. The TV series Manush is based on the story Namanush written by Ahsan Habib. It will be aired from Eid day 1 to day 5 at 12:30pm and repeat at 7:00pm. Directed and produced by Naznin Hasan Chumki, the cast of the show includes Powshal Chowdhury, Bishmoy Sarkar Mugdho, Tariq Anam Khan, Intekhab Dinar, Ashok Bepari, Julfikar Chanchal, Naznin Hasan Chumki and many more.
