Exclusive group exhibition marking Galleri Kaya’s 15th anniversary

To celebrate the 15th anniversary of Galleri Kaya, an exclusive group exhibition by 43 modern and contemporary artists from Bangladesh and India, will begin tomorrow at 6 pm at the gallery premises in Uttara, Dhaka.

The featured artists at the exhibit are Ahmed Shamsuddoha, Aditya Basak, Ajit Seal, Aloptogin Tushar, Aminul Islam, Amitabha Banerjee, Anisuzzaman, Ashraful Hasan, Atin Basak, Chandra Shekhar Dey, Debdas Chakraborty, Dipa Haq, Ganesh Haloi, Goutam Chakraborty, Hamiduzzaman Khan, Hashem Khan, Hashi Chakraborty, Jamal Ahmed, Kamaluddin, Kanak Chanpa Chakma, K G Subramanyan, Lalu Prasad Shaw, Maksuda Iqbal Nipa, M F Husain, Mohammad Eunus, Mohammad Iqbal, Murtaja Baseer, Qayyum Chowdhury, Rabin Mondal, Rafiqun Nabi, Ranjit Das, Ratan Mojumder, Safiuddin Ahmed, Samarjit Roy Choudhury, Sanat Kar, S H Raza, Shahabuddin Ahmed, Shahanoor Mamun, Sheikh Afzal Hossain, Shishir Bhattacharjee, Shohag Parvez, Suhas Roy and Tarun Ghosh.

Organised by Galleri Kaya, the exhibition, titled ‘15th Anniversary Exhibition’, will showcase a selected total of 72 artworks completed in diverse media including -- oil, acrylic, charcoal, ink, pen, indigenous pigment, etching, lithograph, serigraph, woodcut, wood engraving, watercolour and mixed media.

All artists from both nations completed the artworks between the year 1957 and 2019. The exhibition will remain open daily from 11 am to 8 pm till July 20. ADN Group has sponsored the exhibition.
