Bridging the gaps between borders, Indo-Bangla artists came together with their group art exhibition Symphony. Inaugurated on September 2, the five-day long exhibition is underway at La Galerie, Alliance Française de Dhaka (AFD).

The inaugural ceremony began with a welcome address by Olivier Dintinger, Director, AFD, and was followed by an inspirational speech by Professor Nazrul Islam, Chairman, Centre for Urban Studies (CUS) and former Chairman of UGC.

Chief guest Professor Biman Bihari Das spoke on the position of art and how this initiative brings two countries, communities, and culture together, and later inaugurated the exhibition.

This exhibition displays fine artworks and sculptures by Padma Shri awardee Professor Biman Bihari Das, alongside 50 canvases by Subrata Ghosh (mixed media on canvas), Nishi Sharma (oil paint), Zebun Naher, Simran KS Lamba (tar, acrylic, wires, and oil paint), Joydeb Bala (acrylic on canvas), Papa Nurun Nahar (mixed media), and Elham Huq Khuku (acrylic).

The exhibition is open to all from Mondays to Thursdays (3 pm to 9 pm) and Fridays to Saturdays (9 am to 12 noon), till September 7, 2019.
