Bangladeshi Film Festival underway in Kolkata
Yesterday marked the opening of the four-day event titled Bangladesh Film Festival 2018 in Kolkata's Nandan West Bengal Film Centre. Eight films from Bangladesh are to be showcased during the occasion, with Impress Telefilm's Kaler Putul directed by Aka Reza Ghalib, being the opener. Tauquir Ahmed's Oggatonama was screened in the evening on the same day.
The state's Information and Technology Minister Bratya Basu, who is also an actor, attended the inauguration ceremony. Faridur Reza Sagar was the chief guest of the event along with special guest, vetran actor Madhabi Mukherjee.
Other films slated for the circuit include Akram Khan's Khacha, Abu Sayeed's Dressing Table, Meher Afroz Shaon's Krishnopokkho, Iftekhar Ahmed Fahmi's To Be Continued, Arun Chowdhury's Alta Banu and Animesh Aich's Voyonkor Sundor.
