Mejbaur Rahman Sumon gears up for ‘Hawa’
Television director Mejbaur Rahman Sumon is set to start shooting for his first film, Hawa, from the first week of October. Sumon received the Meril Prothom Alo Critic Award for the tele-fiction, Dokhiner Janalata Khola, Alo Ashe-Alo Firey Jay, in 2006. After that, he took a nine-year hiatus from directing tele-fictions, and turned to making advertisements. He is also a talented lyricist and the vocalist of the band, Meghdol.
“Hawa is a modern-day fairytale that revolves around the sea, the waves and a troller,” says Sumon. Chanchal Chowdhury will star in the film. Kamrul Hasan Khosru is the cinematographer, while Sun Music and Motion Pictures Limited is the producer. Sumon hopes to release Hawa in 2020.
