Reza Ghatok’s ‘Haribol’ awaiting approval from Censor Board
Haribol is scripted and directed by writer and filmmaker Reza Ghatok. The film is based on true events. The story focuses on a young filmmaker who visits one of the villages of Boleshwar, during the Liberation War of Bangladesh in 1971. He learns about a minority family who are marginalised by the people around them.
The fact that the film depicts the Liberation War and the marginalised minorities in the same frame is fascinating, says the director.
As of now, Haribol is awaiting the approval from the Film Censor Board of Bangladesh. Produced by Boleshwar Films, Reza Ghatok hopes to release it by the end of this year.
