Shakib Khan inaugurates Salman Shah Jonmo Utshab 2019

On the 48th birth anniversary of Salman Shah, Dhooli Communications organised a weeklong festival titled Salman Shah Jonmo Utshab 2019. The festival will start today, and go on till September 26. The program was inaugurated by Dhalywood superstar Shakib Khan yesterday, at the capital’s Modhumita Cinema Hall. Six remarkable movies featuring Salman Shah will be screened during the six days of the festival.

The State Minister of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Zunaid Ahmed Palak, was the chief guest of the inauguration programme. Farzana Munny, Chairperson of TM Films and Gaan Bangla, and Falguni Hamid, President of Bachsas were the special guests of the event. Apart from that, Sohanur Rahman Sohan, director of Keyamot Theke Keyamot (Shah’s first film), director Chotku Ahmed, Arun Chowdhuri, S A Haque Olike, General Secretary, Director’s Guild, among others, were also present. Anjam Masud was the host of the event.

“It has been 24 years since Salman Shah’s demise. People are still crazy about him. This proves that he is irreplaceable,” says Zunayed Ahmed Palak, “He will live forever in his fans hearts.”

Directors Sohanur Rahman Sohan and Chotku Ahmed reminisced their memories with Salman Shah at the event. After the speeches, they celebrated his birthday with a cake, in tribute to one of the greatest actors Bangladesh has ever seen.
