The film, produced under the banner of Gorai Films, is sponsored by Freedom Sanitary Napkin, a product of ACI Consumer Brands. A signing-ceremony was recently held, where the Managing Director of ACI Consumer Brands, Syed Alamgir and Fakhrul Arefeen Khan, the director of Gondi, were present.

The Fakhrul Arefeen Khan directorial is set to resume shooting in Dhaka from next month onwards. Renowned Indian actor Sabyasachi Chakrabarty will share he screen space with Suborna Mustafa in Gondi. He is scheduled to reach Dhaka by the end of this month. 

Suborna will play Shamima, a 55 year old lady, while Sabyasachi will play the role of a 60-year-old. The film will focus on the relationship of the couple. Apart from the duo, actors Aparna Ghosh and Maznun Mizan will also feature in Gondi.
