What projects do you currently have in the pipeline?

Currently, I’m occupied with shooting for my upcoming film, Partner, directed by Ananyo Mamun. The last lot of filming will commence on July 12. I will be seen playing the lead role in the film. There are a couple of other projects in the talks – movies, web series. Looking forward to getting onboard with some of those.

Do you have any upcoming releases in the near future?

One of my latest works, Padmar Prem, directed by Harunuzzaman, recently received the censor board’s approval and will be coming to theatres soon. Akash Mahal, produced by Impress Telefilm, directed by Delowar Jahan Jhontu is also slated for release soon. Roudro Chhaya, another feature film I worked in, will also hopefully be premiering in the near future.

You have also recently acted in films in Kolkata. Tell us a little bit about that.

I acted in the film Crown Down, directed by Partho Sarothi Bhattacharya. I will commence work on a film titled Shibraatri soon. There are a few other projects that I am currently considering in Kolkata. I will be selecting a few depending on which scripts and characters appeal to me the most.

How was the experience working in Kolkata?

It was a wonderful experience working in Kolkata. The cast and crew were extremely professional. There is a lot of table work involved and the entire process is thoroughly organised. I didn’t feel like an outsider at all, as the familiarisation course was rather easy.

You have also worked in a couple of web series. What is that experience like?

I have been featured in two web series so far. One was released last Eid ul Fitr, and other one will be broadcast soon. Both were shot in Bali. The experience was that of filming for a movie. The acting prowess required is quite similar, and I look forward to working on more of such projects soon.

What is your target regarding films?

My only target is to simply work. Irrespective of whether or not I work in the modelling industry or in web series, my main target is to keep working in good films. I want to see myself playing a variety of characters in unpredictable plotlines. I want people to know that I belong to films.
