Which project are you currently shooting for?

I am currently working on a series that has a total of seven episodes in it,  directed by Shahriar Sumon. We’ve been shooting in Pubail, and we will be done in a few more days. It is almost time for Eid, so I’ve been busy working on special projects. This is one of them.

What are some of the works that you have completed for this Eid?

I have finished working on a few Eid projects so far. I have completed shooting for two hour-long shows and I’ve also worked on another seven episode series, which was directed by Adibashi Mizan. I have also been in talks regarding a few more shows, which I will pick based on how the stories and characters are.

A lot of television shows are being produced right now. Are you satisfied with the scripts you have read so far?

 Unfortunately, no. They’ve mostly been very similar, and have monotonous plots and roles. That is why I am selective with the roles I pick. It’s not easy being an actor. I’ve worked on stage for several years before stepping into the world of television. After having worked as an actor for years, I picked up directing. You need love and commitment to see the fruits of your labour.

How many shows are you directing

for this Eid?

I will be directing two television shows for this Eid, and they are both an hour long. We are going to Sirajganj to shoot for one of them and the other will be shot in Dhaka. I will also be acting in both of these shows.

You have been acting for several years now. Are you happy?

I am doing quite well, mostly because I do not have a lot of expectations. I am grateful for whatever God has given me. I am loved by so many people, what more could I ask for? I can never repay all the adoration that I have received through acting.

How do you manage to become so infused with the characters you play?

I love working and I keep trying as much as I can to learn with every job. At some point, I learned to make myself believe that I am the character that I am playing.
