Pritom’s ‘Morey Jak’ dives into the dark symbolism of love
Popular musician Pritom Hasan released his much-awaited song, "Morey Jak", along with a music video, on YouTube yesterday.
The video, featuring Pritom Hasan and Israt Sabrin gives off a gothic vibe with various symbolic representations.
The song is a combination of three genres, psychedelic, disco, and synth wave. Pritom's wonderful voice leaves a strong impression on the audience.
The singer opened up about how the song came to be.
"It' a very layered music video, and viewers will find lots of symbolic meanings hidden in it. This is the first time that I am working with a newcomer, and I can say it proudly that Israt is a very talented artiste," he adds.
When asked about the reason behind the title "Morey Jak," the "Bhenge Porona Ebhabhe" singer revealed the story behind the title.
"When you love someone, that person means the whole world to you. Everything turns dark when you realise that person has changed completely. You become so frustrated with everything that you want everyone to die except for her so that she can finally be at peace. That was the main concept of the music video," mentions Pritom.
The singer has been working for a long time on this project, and created this masterpiece with the help of his wonderful team.
"This song is my brain child and I wouldn't have been able to make this video without the help of Waliun Nabi, Affan Aziz Pritul , DOP Kawser Hamid, Ashikul Haque Khan and Naveed Javed. Affan Aziz Pritul really worked hard on this video. He is really young and passionate and his efforts can be seen through this project," added Pritom.
The music video is directed by Pritom's team under his guidance. The song was written and composed by Pritom himself.
Pencil Box is behind the production supervision of the video, while Waliun Nabi is the producer.
The creative supervision of the video is handled by Affan Aziz Pritul, while Akib Shahriar is the chief assistant director.
Ashikul Haque Khan and Naveed Javed are the assistant directors. Moreover, director of photography Kawser Hamid beautifully worked on the project.
The music video, which was released at 9 pm yesterday has already garnered a lot of views and is getting rave reviews all over social media.
