RADIOHEAD releases new album
Radiohead's long awaited new album has finally arrived.
The British band's ninth album -- titled “A Moon Shaped Pool” -- was available for streaming and purchase on Google Play for a short while before being taken down, Pitchfork reports. The 11-track album, Radiohead's first since 2011's “The King of Limbs”, is now available for purchase through iTunes and the band's website.
Last week, Radiohead shared new songs and accompanying music videos for “Burn the Witch” and “Daydreaming”, both of which are featured on the ablum. The video for “Burn the Witch” is a stop-motion clip that tells the story of a quaint village preparing to burn a witch. “Daydreaming”, which was directed by Paul Thomas Anderson and Radiohead, follows an agitated Thom Yorke, who nervously walks around an empty parking garage.
“A Moon Shaped Pool” will be released in physical formats through XL Recordings on June 17. A special edition of the album includes bonus non-album tracks and 32 pages of artwork, along with a piece of half-inch inch master tape from a recording session.
