20th anniversary of Rabirashmi celebrated at Central Public Library
A musical evening titled Premer Joare Bhashabe Dohare was organised at Central Public Library, Dhaka on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Rabirashmi on October 5.
Director of the organisation and noted Rabindra sangeet singer, Mahadev Ghosh delivered the welcome address. In his speech, he mentioned that Rabirashmi began its journey in 1998 with funding from its members. He recalled and thanked all the people who inspired him in his journey with Rabirashmi. The life and creation of Rabindranath Tagore inspires us and shows us a path of enlightenment”, said Mahadev Ghosh.
The programme was followed musical performances by the artistes of Rabirashmi. They performed Tagore’s songs from Prem (love), Puja (Devotion) and Prakriti (Nature) sections. The songs were presented in the form of musicals. Dancers of Bulbul Lalitkala Academy with the lead of Masud Rana Rumi performed in the show.
Rabirashmi conducts regular trimester musical programmes to encourage and prepare artistes to perform in front of an audience.
