Rupchanda-The Daily Star Super Chef returns on air
Add a dash of luck, a pinch of creativity and one teaspoon of talent and put it all in a pot. Keep stirring till the motion becomes a part of your identity. This is the recipe for becoming Bangladesh's next Rupchanda-The Daily Star Super Chef. Tonight, sharp at 9pm, Rupchanda-The Daily Star Super Chef will begin airing exclusively on ntv. Heartbreaks, triumphs and with more ingredients than in a classic Coq Au Vin, this season of Rupchanda-The Daily Star Super Chef promises to be the most gripping reality show on national television today.
In the past three years, we have seen a drastic change in the culinary scene of Bangladesh. Restaurants are not only sprouting up all around Dhaka city, but people from every corner of the country are now showing utmost enthusiasm in food, flavours and gastronomy. One of the biggest reasons for this new rise in culinary passion is the most glamorous cooking competition in the country, one that is of international standards, Rupchanda-The Daily Star Super Chef.
Since its inception, Rupchanda-The Daily Super Chef has successfully found culinary talents from all over the country, to give them the ultimate opportunity to live their dream. The show not only gives contestants the chance to cook to their hearts content, but also gives once-in-a-lifetime experiences and unforgettable moments, bringing in local and international celebrity chefs to teach techniques, skills and dishes that have never before been witnessed in this country.
This year, the Super Chef team visited 12 districts of the country from which 80 contestants were selected to move on to the next round: the central round, after which 18 will be selected to go to the prestigious Super Chef Kitchen- where all the magic happens.
In the first episode of Rupchanda-The Daily Star Super Chef season 3, the 80 participants from various districts will be asked to cook a dish - one that will take them straight to the Super Chef Kitchen - from the ingredients available in the pantry.
As judges, culinary expert Shaheda Yeasmin, actor and food enthusiast Tariq Anam Khan, and Executive Chef of Watercress Restaurant Tazammul Huq Tareq, greet them and establish the rules and regulations. The contestants will be ready to set off to the pantry with 30 minutes in hand, to plan, cook and plate-up.
Who will be the first to make a name for themselves? Who will give the judges a taste of what is about to come? Tune into ntv, every Saturday and Sunday at 9pm to witness history in the making.
