'Mukhomukhi' with Mithila
Rafiath Rashid Mithila stars in well known director Partha Sen's short film, 'Mukhomukhi', opposite Kolkata actor Gaurav Chakraborty. The short film, which was released recently, revolves around a Bangladeshi filmmaker who travels to Kolkata for professional purposes and ends up befriending a man. She soon returns to the city, with the hope of seeing him again.
Mithila, who has proven herself with passion and perseverance on screen over the years, felt confident when she took on the project. “Mukhomukhi, my first short film, gave me the opportunity to travel to Kolkata for the first time,” says Mithila. “Even though I did not get to see many places in Kolkata, I had a good time. It was also a privilege to team up with Partha Sen.”
Mithila also appeared in a couple of television commercials and as a judge on an episode of Duronto TV's Teer Little Chef, a cooking-based show for children, recently.
Besides modelling and acting, Mithila serves as the head of the Early Childhood Development department at BRAC International. She is currently putting together a storybook for children. “I think that it is important to provide interesting Bangla stories for children in our country. Since I work in the field of early childhood development, this is a project that I am really passionate about,” she asserts.
In 2018, she hosted the radio show, Berey Othar Golpo, in association with BRAC and Radio Shadhin. It featured guests who discussed topics related to early childhood development with Mithila, and answered any queries on parenting. “This year, alongside my professional priorities, I aspire to focus on my health and fitness,” smiles Mithila.
