Nothing new in budget: Raushon

Terming the proposed budget "traditional", Raushon Ershad, leader of the opposition in the parliament, today said there is nothing new in it.

It is an election budget, Raushon said adding that, "Let's see, how it benefits people of the country."

Big projects are there in the budgets but they are not implemented, Raushon, also senior co-chairman of Jatiya Party, said while talking to journalists at parliament.

Allocation for education sector raised by 11pc

Finance Minister AMA Muhith unveiled Tk 4,64,573 crore national budget for the fiscal year 2018-19 at the House today.

He started placing budget around 1:00pm.
