11th JS to go into special session on April 6

The 11th national parliament will go into its 22nd session on April 6.
This will also be a special session of parliament to mark Bangladesh Jatiya Sangsad's 50th anniversary.
The parliament will go into session at 11:00am on April 6 after a 55-day recess.
President Abdul Hamid today convened the session exercising the power bestowed upon him by Article 72 (1) of the constitution, said a press release of the parliament secretariat.
This will be the second session of 2023.
Abdul Hamid is scheduled to deliver a speech at the special session, sources at the parliament secretariat said.
Before the House goes into session at 11:00am, the business advisory committee of parliament is likely to sit, with Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair, to set the duration and businesses of the session.
According to the constitution, the president must convene a session within 60 days of the last sitting of the previous session.
The last session of parliament was prorogued on February 9 .
